Defiant managers at a taxi firm which sparked a price war in Walsall have told vandals “you won’t stop us” following the latest attack on one of their vehicles.
Bosses at Go Carz said vehicles had been targeted numerous times over the past year, costing them thousands of pounds in repairs.
Go Carz has expanded rapidly in Walsall and managers have vowed to beat the prices of all other taxi firms in the area.
The latest incident happened in Regal Drive in Walsall on Monday (December 21), when a van had its windows smashed.
Graham Hoof, operations director at Go Carz, said: “It’s frustrating but we are not going to let the vandals win.
“We have recently expanded into Walsall and are doing our best to provide work for our drivers, but we keep getting incidents of vandalism like this.
“We had the wing mirrors broken off a van in Walsall earlier in the year and we even had a vehicle burnt out in Telford, but our message to the vandals is quite simple - you won’t stop us.
“We have reported the smashed windows to the police and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
“We are an independent business trying to do the best for our drivers, and it is disappointing when things like this happen but we will keep working hard.”
Go Carz is the largest private hire firm in the West Midlands, with a fleet of 700 vehicles covering Walsall, Wolverhampton, Telford and Shrewsbury.
